All these products......where to go?

Okay everyone....

I was reading the blog by D. Rassman. His responses to products not FDA approved got me to thinking.

i am considering adding some products into my regime. Do any of them really have any real backup to their claims?

On one hand, i worry that if Rogaine and Propecia don't work, i will be left with no options besides a hair transplant.

Yet, if these products are what they claim, why aren't they FDA approved? Are there any legitimate reasons?

For instance, Spectral DNC claims to grow hair all over the head. It keeps going on and on about how much better it is than Rogaine. Fair enough. Why isn't it at least in FDA trials???

Tricomin seems at least somewhat legit. Anyone know why it didn't complete FDA trials?

Clinical trials are expensive; only the prospect of extremely high returns could justify them. It's easier to market a product as a 'cosmetic'.
