All I want is...

Some thickening. I've read through the forum and I've come to the conclusion(as most have) that my hairline will never return to how it was. Or even close to how it once was.

Right, all I want is to thicken up my hairline, which is thinning. What are the chances of this happening? I mean, is it reasonable to expect that if I get on finasteride and Minoxidil, my hairline will thicken up considerably? I've just gotten back on finasteride after I stopped using it for 3 months, and I've been using minoxidil for at least once a day (sometimes i use it twice, sometimes once depending on my shcedule) and I plan to buy some nizoral tonight.

I don't know about "considerably," but there is a reasonable chance that your hairline will improve with finasteride and minoxidil treatments. You might also use Nizoral shampoo 3x a week. If you see no improvement after a year or so, keep in mind that maintanence is itself a positive result, something you're not doing now. But at that point you might add copper peptides or even a Lasercomb, which will improve your odds of success, but of course not guarantee anything.

I've seen the laser comb do some great things. And the hair doesnt become dependant on it i've heard. BUT it is a daily thing.

Actually the Laser Comb is used 3 times a week for the first month, twice a week thereafter. Hairmax specifically warns against using it more than that. But they also say that if you stop using the Laser Comb, your hair will gradually revert to its previous state. I find it takes me 15 minutes per session. It has been FDA approved for thickening, so that's about as proven as you're going to get if that's your goal.

MVP,
I have been having some good success on the lasercomb and have been using it for about 1 month. How has it been going for you?? Also i might mention it is the only thing I use now along with Kevis shampoo. I can't wait to see what happens over the next couple of months.

how would you define dependency in this context?

I'm taking the kitchen sink approach, so it's hard to know what is causing my regrowth. I attribute most of it to minoxidil and copper peptides, since I have been using both longer than anything else, but the lasercomb may be contributing too. All I know is that since in August, I was thin from my vertex to my crown, with a balding spot on my vertex so noticeable that it generated comments. Now, you have too look close to see that my hair is thinning at all. Granted, my curly hair helps a lot there -- it's still noticeably thin when wet -- but it's tons better. Also, my hairline is starting to come back. It will never come back to where it was, but if this keeps up, I'll regain what I've lost in the last several years. Is the lasercomb contributing to that? I don't know.
