Nope, still on it, too afraid to quit and loosing all benefits, that's a double-edged sword.

If you quit it, you'll loose all hair maintained pretty fast

f***. I turn 30 at the end of 2018. I am hoping to get a hair transplant by that point. Hopefully by 2020 we'll have a better option and I won't need to stay on it past then.

Give it a try dude, but don't expect significant results before one solid year on it, and as you say, by 2020 maybe we'll have more options.

I had a pretty agressive hair loss pattern, without finasteride, i would be bald slick NW7 at 22 max.My old man had the same but no options back then and he suffered a lot from it.So yeah this drug works pretty well.

No, not really, i've been pretty tired this particular year, I finally made an appointment with an endocrinologist to check my hormone levels, never done it in my life, to be sure if finasteride is really to blame here, already done other classics blood tests and everything was normal.

What's DIM ? Also don't be scared about sides as topical finasteride has much less systemic absorption, but also is less effective...

It's a substance found in broccoli. The supplements obviously have a high concentration. It's an enzyme that facilitates the conversion of estrogens into testosterone. Body builders take it when they juice to avoid feminization from increased estrogen. Regular testosterone ain't DHT but it certainly helps.

Good to know, i'll surely make a thread with my hormone levels results if anything is wrong and gather some advices like this one

All the studies I have seen indicate equal or greater effectiveness. Why do you feel this way?

There's plenty of thread on this here, and no real approved products yet

This one seems relevant : https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/whats-the-best-topical-antiandrogen.62674/

RU58841 appears to be good, maybe you should try this one, Hellouser made a good guide for it

I think that says it all. Plus you got 10 years of benefits before the side effects kicked in.

I remember reading one of the finasteride hair studies and even among the 1-3% of so that had erectile problems, all of them chose to continue the drug after the end of the study because they loved what it was doing for their hair.

No hair loss treatment is perfect. Finasteride is the highest effectiveness lowest risk treatment for ~>95% of men.

For now, but i agree.I just hope it didn't mess with my hormone profile too much, that f*****g tiredness is killing me, barely make it through my work days.

10 years benefits for a lifetime treatment is not that effective.

We still need a treatment that don't f*** with your DHT anyway, but i guess it's still SF material here.Maybe Set/Fevi, will change that fact, still waiting for official results.
