I've read somewhere that excessive alcohol consumption really has an impact on balding process...is this true?

I have male pattern baldness and have had problems with alcohol. Speaking only from my perspective, I believe excessive alcohol intake (binging) CAN have an adverse effect on hair. Just my opinion.

In my experience, from observation and also reputable sources and logic, yes it does.

No. It's easy to make that correlation though, because baldness tends to happen to young men around the same time they begin partying/drinking....sometimes heavily.

Alcohol can mildly help you keep your hair because it lowers testosterone/increases oestrogen. The same happens with the opiates.

Yes exactly, Its a natural genetic condition but as soon as guys start to experience it they look around for possible causes ignoring the fact that the NW1's all around them are behaving exactly the same.
So lets hear no more of these daft theories. :shakehead:
