Gone to the barber´s to shave this sh1t off with a number 2 and it looks good.

I feel fresh, clean, and i think it suits me and i won 10 minutes in the mornings puting gel.

Thought i would get some bad looks on the street since i´m not used to a shaved head but didn´t get any at all :)

Oh and i still don´t have the horseshoe shape strangely, because on that top part of the back of the head (i think you call it the crown in english) doesn´t look like thining :?

Shaved heads is the way to go :D

if youre going to shave it,

you can definitely save money by buying clippers yourself and doing it at home.

I cut my own hair with a vacum attatchment. I get whatever legnth I want, perfectly even, longer where I want it, adjusted to shorter where I want it.

aloe vera is very good on shaven heads as a skin conditioner

shaved heads look great on certain men

If my hairline was stil intact I would do it but I know I will not look better buzzed although I want to do it. I have a horseshoe and think it would look bad. My front is also so thin and I have light blonde hair becasue of the miniaturization. I am forced to either wait until it is no longer coverable the way it is or regrow some hair before I try it.

I never understood why people who buzz/shave their heads with the same guard all over need to go to a barber. When you do it yourself, it's pretty damn hard to mess up.

btw, how can you stand the vacuum attachment? It usually doesn't pick up everything (meaning you got to vacuum later anyways) and the noise is unbearable.... but maybe you have a new quiet and power attachment that I've never seen before.

Ok I'll apologise in advance for the negative post, but this is why (as a former shaver myself, 4 yrs) Justshaveit and Blondeguy wind me up.

Firstly congratulations to all you shavers I'm glad you're comfortable with it, But most of you are like nw2 so you still have good coverage anyway its a totally different ballgame if you have a higher degree of hairloss. 1" ontop is hardly shaving it, thats just a short haircut.

My point is shaving is always a liberating experience at first, that thing that was causing you stress is removed and it feels good to touch that stubbly head.
But thats only half the problem solved, Nothing will change your desire to have your hair back. That elation you first felt after shaving will quickly wear off and soon your desire to have a head of hair will come flowing back.
The next time you see someone with a great hairstyle or when you first get that feeling of the cold wind blowing on your uncovered scalp, or sunburn on your head.
If you have the desire for a full head of hair shaving will not solve your problem or change your opinion. :(

yes, I agree with this. I want my f*****g hair back. Shaving my head has not stopped me looking enviously at NW1s and people with long flowing locks (c****). And I look so so much older, sometimes I see my reflection and it's like a sad old bloke instead of the buff 26yr old i used to be..arrrrgh. But I still feel shaving, in the short term, is a really good idea for removing stress etc. Plus it's easier to apply your potions.

and for the record, I'm much much worse than nw2. I'm slick to NW2 at least, with obvious thinning in NW4 shape and a lot of obvious thinning in the vertex. I'm buzzed to 1/8".

Yes you are right.

Of course we will always want to have hair again but we have to try and look the better we can.

I think having a shaved head is better than having a big horseshoe and there are some men that look good with their heads shaven.

I admit that when i see some guy with great hair i feel jealous, and miss my great old hair but we are going through this and at least let´s think positive. There are guys that have great hair and there are guys that look great with a shaved head so let´s try to catch the last.

Your right, but you gotta do the best you can with what you have.

But I think shaving the head down to a degree is admitting to everyone your going bald an your not trying to hide it. Its a huge mental hurdle in my opinion.

i disagree. if thinning is in the early stages, especially on diffuse guys with a relatively intact hairline, buzzing it down short enough almost completely hides the baldness unless somebody shines a flash right on the top of your head

Of course. But a lot of guys hide loss with hairstyles which is why I said "to a degree" but I admittedly didn't explain myself very well.

Fabio, if that is you in the pic you are in good shape to sport the shaved look. Looks good. And you are in shape. Lots of women dig that look.

No it´s not me lol :D

That guy is bigger than me and is my role model of a bald man.
I searched for Vin Diesel in google and that guy is there.

i got to say, somehow i would want to shave mine myself at least once in my life. but i got this stupid thinning in front. its only the first half of my head which is thinning, behind its thick. i think that wouldnt look good shaved. you would see the thinning in front and behind in middle-crown you would see thick hair.

i wear it spiked up at the front and the rest in middle a bit forward. i think thats a good hair style for me which lets it look good. i just need to get a new haircut because my hair got way too long.

but i will do this this week or the next. just waiting for a coupon from a friend. then i will go to a specialist for thin hair. 8)
