Age for Hair transplants/future cloning?

Turning 20 recently highlighted the home truth that I will have had significant loss in the front and back even with Propecia (crown is slightly thinner than a year ago when I started but there is worrying recession at the front which is getting difficult to maintain something approaching a normal hair style! (you know, avoiding bright lights/windy days!))this is coupled with general thinness.
I always thought it was fine but, and I don't know how many others have this, but you do suddenly, I dont know, go for a hair cut, and then suddenly your alarmingly receeding hairline is staring you in the face! It's a little disconcerting!
Certainly I'm not vain merely embaressed by it and wouldn't think the world is being robbed by the best head of hair in the world! I dont know, maybe "I don't like change" but I also know I'd look pretty random with shaved head or (worse still) an attempted comb-over! Oh well, blame it on Hollywood!

Anyway by the time I was 21 I'm guessing that I'll have at best the same 'arrangement' or at he very least still have a neruoris over the whole thing!!

It's encouraging to read articles on stem cell research that'd help with baldness (as well as other skin problems/burns) but these will be ages away and probably more expensive than ever.

The main question in my head is will they too be not suitable/recommened for those in early 20s?.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

It seems as though transplants are only good for people who are older and everyone will scream not to get one. All us younger guys have is these treatments that might slow down your loss.

Wait a few years. When I first noticed my hair loss, I immediately wanted to get a transplant for my general thinning...this was several years ago. Wait a few years, learn about the surgeons/procedures, save some money, and decide how you really feel about yourself and your hair. If it still bothers you, then get a transplant done. I'm about to turn 23 and have researched having a hair transplant for a while now.

Get educated, be patient, and then make a decision...but don't be rash.

Is that...a gremlin crossed with a kitten?!

Sorry, anyway I dont really know where to look.
Is there any[.i] placse here in Northern Ireland or Ireland that do hair trasnplants/FM? i've seen some websites but they all require you to go to a clinic to get a 'quote'(!) and I haven't been able to go down (starting uni plus family slightly derisivve of my "obsession"!).

I know I'd probably have to wait a few years (Any money I'll have a Tony Blair-esque crop of hair in a year or two!!Now all I have to do is move into a No10 somewhere and get a wife with a unusual smile!!) but I WISH I could get it done and dusted right away (which is an impossibility).

How much are these treatments in the UK/Ireland? I see people talking of $3 a graft (?!) so do we get rip-off £3($~6) a graft or is it round abou the same cost?

Thanks for any information...I'm off to buy myself a grand straw hat!

If you want the best, you'll probably have to travel. Vancouver (Hasson&Wong), Toronto (Seager), Minneapolis (Shapiro) are among three of the best. I'll probably be going to H&W or Armani (in Chicago) when the time comes...

Wait ?

Wait for what ? To get old when u really dont need a full head of hair. If u have the funds to do it and u r to a point where u cant conceal it with toppik or derm or any other concealer go ahead and do it. After 40 its pointless to have an hair transplant.

I would be very careful

do you know why the edge from U2 wheres a hat all the time, its becouse he had a bad hair tranplant, its the same reason that Elton john has a wig

a bad hair transplant is a 100 x worse then being bald
so do you research well, also i think its best to get a hair transplant when you have major hair loss like a nw5 not a nw2 or you will have to get more work done every year or so
