Come on guys (in the US or anywhere) we really need to start pushing to have hairloss covered. There is no reason a f*****g drug addict, obese person, or smoker can get treatments under insurance

[
Corrine continued: “The emotional implications of hair loss for men can lead to depression, social anxiety, agoraphobia, even addiction. Some men will retreat from life, by not trying to go out on a date, or not being sociable in a marriage or a relationship.

“Others will limit their ambitions, feeling they are not ‘man enough’ or strong enough to go for a promotion or compete against other men, who still have hair. It can limit a man’s choices and lifestyle, and make him more introverted.

“In extreme cases, he may need medication, or even may become depressed to the point of attempting suicide, feeling his ability to form relationships or succeed in life, is limited or at an end.” ]

Honestly its discrimination

In India..Bajaj Finserv do give emi option for cosmetic surgeries like hair transplant or dental braces treatment.

I don't want to touch your insurance topic for hairtransplant..(different markets)

but I 100% agree to your hairloss impact on life.

male pattern baldness below 30 years of age should be consider as a separate health concern and not to be taken with baldness above age 35.

I do think hairloss below 30 years of age is a rare problem..
and need to be solved using orphan drug act which gives incentives for finding the cure to the companies.

I live in the UK and can categorically say they will NEVER fund drugs/treatments for male pattern baldness. Our health system is collapsing as it is.

If people found out you could claim drugs for balding that would finish it off. I personally think there are different priorities for socialised medicine.

I agree that it's bullshit though because the psychological impact for many men is huge. I guess physical health will always take precedence though.

I'm UK-based and I think it's a shame there isn't some sort of discount scheme when buying Regaine and Propecia. Perhaps for people below a certain age. I spend around £420-a-year on hair loss products and I'm fed up of it.

If you're a university student and going bald, how the hell are you supposed to afford all this stuff if you've got your horrendously overpriced tuition fees and everything else to think about?
