Why the answer to every question "Get on finasteride"

Q: My hair is receding..
A: Get on finasteride

Q: I dont want to use finasteride, what can I use?
A: Get on finasteride

Q: Who won the last superbowl?
A: Get on finasteride

Q: I might be gay?
A: Get on finasteride

Alot of people write posts about not wanting to get on finasteride.. and for their own personal reasons. I just feel it gets annoying to read that same reply over and over again when obviously the poster is trying to avoid it in the first place.

When will it upgrade to: "Try Flax SDGs... then Get on finasteride"

The best treatment option is the only treatment option if you want to maintain the hair you have. Finasteride and Dutasteride are the only options. There is no try this and then move on to that. There simply isn't unless you desire to continue losing hair.

Agreed.

I'm also slightly annoyed at how some people pretend there are no side effects to it, or like it's completely ridiculous that a person might not want to take a 1 in 20 chance at manbreasts for something that isn't even guaranteed to work. Much of this site is the blind following the blind, and a lot of people are being led down paths that nobody is sure where they really go.

I'm not happy about losing my hair, in fact I'm dreading it. I'm only 23, and have (had) beautiful long curly hair that was my defining characteristic, but I'm starting to see what a trap trying to stop the inevitable might become. After the hours spent reading all the posts on the site, I'm coming closer and closer to just saving myself the countless hours of applications standing in front of the mirror trying to decide if I have a couple new hairs in favor of 5 minutes with a razor every day and having to deal with being less attractive to the superficial, who I really don't care about anyways.

what in the hell are you even talking about?

like it or not, finasteride (and dutasteride) is all there really is if you seriously want to regrow

and to the guy who said "1 in 20" try less than 3 in 100...

Propecia is the only thing. Take it or lose your hair. Its up to the person deciding if they want to lose hair or risk some sides. Theres no point in suggesting crap to people if they ask for what works. If people ask for crap that doesnt work or want to try then suggest almost anything you want.
