I am 32 and went thruough a divorce 2 years ago and the stress did a number on the top of my head. I have thinned out a lot where you see more scalp on the top then hair. At the time I thought it was just related to the stress and it would grow back. Well two plus years later it hasn't grown back. I started using some Nioxin shampoo products. I figured if I make my scalp have a nice healthy place for hair to grow, well it should. Well it really hasn't, my scalp is healthy and all and been on this now for about 5-6 months. I use the shampoo every time I shower as well as at night I put a follicle booster on it. I am at the point that I didn't see the results I wanted and am ready to step it up a bit. I don't want to jump on board with Propecia just yet. I just ordered a six month supply of Rogaine. I do have some Nizoral (1%) that I plan on using a few times a week. Does anyone recommend I do more then adding the Rogaine into the mix? I have heard all the side affects from Propecia and figured I might want to stay away from it for now. SO I am thinking of staying with the Nioxin shampoo's, using Nizoral a few times a week and using the Rogaine (advanced) once I get it twice a day. Any suggestions? Should I jump in and add more like Propecia? I think my scalp is in good shape right now that it is healthy and it has gone through some what of a shedding phase. Any advice it greatly appreciated.

There are other topicals that you can put on but have they been FDA approved???

Propecia is probably the only drug that you could use I guess. Yes, there a side affects but you also get side affects from going out on the piss on a saturday night that are potentially more harmfull.

Go and speak with a Dr before starting any treatment. Espcially Propecia/Proscar
