I am 23 years old, i was in the marine corp for 4 years and had my head fully shaved. Got out about a year ago and i am growing my hair out. I am not sure at all if i have started the process of going bald but my hair line looks jacked up compared to most people and it really worry s me.

I guess you have early signs of Anrogenic Alopecia. It started with hairline recession in my case as well but that was 7 years ago.I am fortunate to have started the treatments before it was too late and I am now a solid Norwood 2.5 compared to the NW3 hairline and the thinning crown I had earlier this year.

If you dont have an itchy scalp and regular shedding,I would say you dont have much to worry about.Just keep a track of your harline and if it degrades jump on finasteride. Are there any bald members in your family ?

its not itchy at all.. and i notice no bad shedding as well, iv always had a high hairline since i was a kid. My fathers side is not bald at all they are native American so they have long hair that is fine.

My mothers side i do not know anything about though

Right now it looks fine dude but just keep an eye on it every once in a while so that you can start the treating it in the early stages.

finasteride is the easiest thing to start with

you pop a little pill every day, never have to worry about it, especially if you get started early

i wish i had started 6-8 months sooner. i'm still doing ok but i was more in your position
