Advanced Hair Studio

I've just got back from the advanced hair studio free check up. I was very relieved and was convinced that this could work. But, after having a look around on the net, found out there is quiet a bad oppinion on Advanced Hair. I really need to know if their are results, if it actually works etc... Has anyone got any results or stories or information about Advanced Hair Studio.

please keep away from them they are con men, they mainly sell strand by strand why is just a wig but they dont tell you that, when i went 2 see them in 97 they told me that minoxidil didnt work and i should try they speacial shampoo that cost 200 dollar a month and grow hair for every body, if a where you i would keep away from all so called hair clinics
most of the stuff they sell is snake oil or the sell very expensive rogaine or propecia
if you want grow hair the try rogaine or propecia thety are the only things that work

You can get better results and save a lot of money by not using them. I will tell my story. I used them for the laser therapy which did work, but trust me not for the cost and poor service i received.

For 12 months laser therapy it costs £3000. that includes a certain amount of laser sessions where you sit under one for 25 mins or 50 mins and minoxidil each month. That is what you get.

Okay, my experience was bad! they lied to get my money and then when they had it the service was dire. They would often run out of minoxidil meaning i never received up to 4 months worth of already paid for minoxidil. When i mentioned this they said they would mail it to me - Never happend.

I never received a hair check despite being told i would get at least four. I constantly bumped into other customers which was embarrassing. I was told i would receive some free products to help with my hairloss, these were never received either.

They also booked me in for appointments when they were closed... the list goes on... Do not part with your money and use this company... the consultant didn't even know anything about hairloss for fucksake!

I now realise that i would have got the same results using the big 3 and saved myself alot of cash that i could now well use.

Hope this helps, as you can imagine i'm more than happy to tell my story to stop these bastards taking anyone else's money.

And to top it off they phoned me a few days ago asking if i would be interested in their special discounted offer. There greed knows no bounds.

Please, stay away from these slippery fuckwits. I wish i had.

I don't understand how they can just lie and get away with it. Doesn't the Fair Trading Department do anything?

Also, I was curious about the laser therapy, not the strand by strand thing. You said laser therapy helped?

Is it worth going through with the laser therapy? How well does that work?

DO NOT GO TO ADVANCED HAIR, THEY ARE NOT DOCTOR'S OR DERMATOLOGISTS. THEY ARE SALESMEN......USE YOUR BRAIN GET EDUCATED AND TALK TO DERMATOLOGISTS.

P.S HALF THE TIME THEY JUST USE EXISTING HAIRLOSS TREATMENTS AND JACK UP THE PRICE. f*** THEM OFF AND f*** AHSLEY AND MARTAIN OFF

Most men do not openly talk to each other about going to advanced hair? When i went to advanced hair for the free checkup, i snuck in here with a hat and glasses.....i was embarrassed. Noone is going to admit they go there.

There appears to be some evidence for laser therap but not enough to answer your question at this point. All we can say for sure right now is that it helps thicken existing hair, which of course helps conceal hair loss. However, if you're going to use laser therapy, it's a lot cheaper to buy a lasercomb than pay for therapy at a clinic.

I also recently had the free check at Advanced Hair Studio. Quite an interesting experience.

They made me fill out a form first which listed what search engines I used and what my three favourite tv shows were. I should have got the message then and left. The reason they want this info is because they're interested in getting as many suckers as possible through the door, by means of TV and Internet advertising.

After I went into the room with a guy, he checked my hair with their little camera/tv thing. Then he sat me down, told me that this would last for 10-20 years. The plan was a 6 month program, with once a week laser sessions for 3 months, then once a fortnight sessions for 3 months.

During this program you would apply Minoxidil twice daily. You also had a hair serum, shampoo and tablets. They were all serenoa products.

He guaranteed me that my hair would grow back totally for minimum 10 years, most likely 20, and in some cases at least 30.

After being in the room with him, he told me it would cost $5000 for a 6 month program, but because I was a student it would be $3000. Whether it is always $3000 for everyone, and he just told me that to make me feel like I was getting a discount, I am unsure.


After going to AHS yesterday, I started searching the Internet a bit more, rocked up to this excellent forum last night, and am definitely not going to be visiting AHS again.

This week I'm going to try and get a prescription for Proscar, and I'm going to start using 2% Nizoral shampoo. Thousands cheaper than AHS, and according to everything _reputable_ I've read, much more reliable than Advanced Laser Therapy.
