So ive been on the big 3 for about 3.5 months with very slow progress(maybe some small hairs on hairline),and I had a dermatologist appointment yesterday.
He looked at my hairline and pointed out the small hairs i have as new hair which i hope is true.
I told him about my red scalp and flaking and he told me i have seborrheic dermatitis both on my face, which i did had some flaking but though it was from dry skin and my hair. Also advised me not to use minoxidil while it was red.
But then he prescribed me some retin A (0,5mg/g) and told me to use it on my temples.
Questions:
1-Is there any chance stopping minoxidil for a few days to make the red on my skin go away cause a shed?
2- I dont know much about retin a, looked it up and found some people actually complaining about it causing hair loss. From what i understand it is used to increase the rate of absorption of minoxidil, but is that beneficial in the long run? Should i use it?
3- Do any active members have any experience with retin a?
Thank you.
