Hey Tony!... Yes, I would say that minoxidil is one of the treatment options that has a more tangible positive effect on hair growth. For people who respond to it, the effects are usually quite noticeable.
Now, consider regrowth as coming in two ways.. there is Class A regrowth, which is the reduction of hairline and growth of hair in places where there was no hair before... and then there is Class B regrowth, which is when an area of hair that is thin and wispy, or diffuse, and the hair here is thickened and strengthened to a condition more similar to the hair in the non-male pattern baldness affected areas of the scalp.
minoxidil, for me, has given me dramatic Class B regrowth. Noticeably thicker hairline. The kind of improvement where people have noticed, asked me "did you change your hairstyle?", etc. Even my hairstylist noticed, said that he is impressed with what minoxidil has done for me.
As for Class A regrowth, the reduction in bald real estate on my temples has been very modest, at best. BUT, it has happened in a very strategic area of my bald temples, about the top 1/3 inch of the top corners of the temples has been reclaimed. Instead of having the top corners come to an abrupt angle, the hairline has been kind of rounded off a bit.
Now, everyone is different, but this has been my result.
Bartman, YES, Dr Lee's minoxidil reduces the 4 hour wait from normal minoxidil to about 15 minutes, for me. Yes, it is THAT much easier to use, no bullshit.
