Jude law is a prime example. Had Matthew McConaughey not went on medication, and had a hair transplant he would of went from leading role actor to a supporting, secondary actor like Jude Law did. Funny thing is most actors are within their prime during 30, and 40's yet the ones who bald dissapear. Roughly three year difference between the two.

Jude law is pretty much irrelevant in the industry nowadays. Going from a handsome charismatics peacock type actor to zilch in a matter of a decade

It's funny because the guy has immense donar hair (not to mention thick), and easily get back to NW1. THough he can still look alright if he grows it out and does the whole slick forward thing which he always does.

If you seen pictures of him pre-male pattern baldness he had a really strong hairline.

Don't let the hair privileged tell you otherwise, EVERYONE can apparently pull off the bald look... as long as you're a celebrity! I'm sure Jude Law, Billy Zane, John Travolta, Michael Deluise, Ralph Fiennes and others would agree!

Billy Zane wore one in Phantom Menace and Titanic. Ralph Fiennes had to have wore a wig in Grand Budapest Hotel as well;

I think Jude Law did try to treat his hair loss, I remember him photographed going to the Belgravia Centre. I guess it didn't work. His roles have certainly changed a lot while McConnaghy's has stayed the same, and they say hair loss doesn't matter...

I think its relative to the surroundings. Remember our daily gripes are nonsense to them because their lives are pretty much far superior to ours. So the 4 roles they lost that week due to hairloss is devastating where most normal guys get devastated by the ONE girl who snubbed them that week.

Also Billy Zane has not been relavant since Titanic. John Travolta is like an icon and ALWAYS wears a piece. Last 2 guys I have no idea who they are.

This.

Travolta was the exception, and play various roles of good, and bad guys. Very versatile in that regard. Had Jude law went the same route and been a slave to the toupee like travola their would of been a difference outcome on his leads. Amazing how hair can depict the success, and route of somebodies career. Actually it ain't surprising at all

The ol 'loose hair on top, grow hair on bottom' beard comes into play as one becomes the villan

Anyone notice that Birdman and Grand Budapest Hotel are both nominated for 9 oscars... and both the leading actors wearing a wig?

It's weird because he goes from NW4.5 to NW3 with the wig....

Grand Budapest Hotel is a fantastic movie (imo at least). Didn't realize he wore a wig... haha. Interesting.

The only actors that can bald gracefully and stay active in their professions are porno stars.

Yeah, because a) their faces are never in the shot b) nobody wants to look at them anyway
