acne on scalp

Hi , i have been getting acne along the hairline and some in the scalp lately , is it due to the use of propecia ? propecia causes acne on my face occasionally but this is the first time it happens on the scalp .

I have a feeling that the acne might be caused by nizoral shampoo


Can the acne on the scalp cause some serious damage to the hair follicles? Any help please

The acne is not being caused by Nizoral and it's unlikely that it is being caused by Propecia.

Acne on the scalp is common when male pattern baldness begins. Stay with Nizoral (1-2 times per week) and wash your hair regularly (yes I know this does not remove any additional sebum) .

If there's no improvement in 4-6 months then it's possible that Propecia is not doing much for you. There are other options, wait and see.
