25 years old male with baldness pattern started at around age 17. It runs in the family, both from my mother and my father sides.
I'm about to start treatment, just bought generic Finasteride 5mg (the name of the brand is "Pensa") and buying MInoxidil 5% tomorrow.
I have some questions for you.
1) Do I need to be followed by a doctor as i go through the treatment? I was sure i'd needed some kind of prescription to buy Finasteride but the pharmacist just gave it to me (she said "technically you'd need it, but...").
2) Is 5mg per day (Finasteride) too high of a dose? Which is your actual dosage?
3) Do I need a specific shampoo?
4) Has anyone had positive experiences with aminoacid drugs?
