A question about finasteride

Hello, ( i am from algeria so exuse my bad english )
This is my first post on this forum, and i'd like to ask some questions
i am 21 years old and i have experienced hair loss since my 18 yo, since 1 year i use minoxidil 5% once a day and i can say that it works good for me, but i have some sides with it :
- hair grown on the entire body even in the forehead
- non straight hair (like pubic hair)
- dry eyes
- acne
i am not sure that all this sides are due to minoxidil
these sides, mainly the first one are very unaestetic so i would like to switch to finasteride with low dose.
so my main question is :
--- if i take finasteride for 5 years for exemple and i stop taking it, the hair loss will it resume from there, return to initial, or other.. ( this question is because i don't have sexual life and i do not consider having a sexual life before getting married, so i can consider having sides while on finasteride but if they are too heavy i can switch to minoxidil once married to recover sexual capacities )
--- what would you do if you where in my situation?
thanks :)

if you stop taking finasteride all the hair you maintained will be lost, and your hair loss will resume from whatever stage your hair loss is at at that time

I would definitely start finasteride. I would not stop the minoxidil though, if you are worried about your body hair just shave it off. It is unlikely the acne is related to minoxidil

thanks for the answer
--- so if i take finasteride for 15 years (or long time) and stop it i will basicly become bald very quickly?
--- is it the same thing with minoxidil because i have heard that if you stop minoxidil you will return to the baseline. is it true?

1. Probably
2. Yes, never stop minoxidil if you want to keep any gains you had from it

thanks for the answer,
here is my plan so : i will start finateride without stoping minoxidil for 4 mounths, if i see that finasteride works without side effects, i would probably stop minoxidil and continue finasteride, but if there are heavy side i will stop finasteride and continue minoxidil alone
--- if i experiment heavy sides and stop finasteride, can this have any effect on my hair?
--- can side effect occur on the long term and not being visible on this 4 mounths of test?
thanks. ;)

if you stop the minoxidil, you will lose all your minoxidil-based growth even though you are on finasteride.

as for the questons

1. You can stop finasteride at any time and your hair would not be worse off than if you had never tried it
2. People claim to get sides sometimes years down the line, but most people tend to get them at the beginning
