A Propecia Survey

This was done over on Hairloss Help a little while ago, and it turned out to be a very, very interesting thread.

I'm just wanting to get a general overview of how this product has worked for the members of this forum in one place, rather than scattered throughout numerous threads.

1) First, what type of hairloss do you have? (Receding hairline, thinning crown, diffuse, etc.)

2) Are your results postive or negative?

3) How long have you been using propecia?

4) Do you feel propecia has had a postive effect on your hairline or negative or simply maintained?

5) Have you had any side effects from using propecia such as sexual or other?

6) Have you shed from the use of propecia and did the shed lead to more nitceable hairloss?

I understand that many of you are using other products in conjunction with finasteride. You can make mention of this too, if you want.

[Thinning]

1.) NW2 w/diffuse thining.

2.) Positive, but I am using 5% minoxidil as well.

3.) 1.5 Years

4.) I would say propecia stopped it from falling out, minoxidil regrew some recently deceased folicles. Together I would say they turned the clock back 5 years and its staying at that level.

5.) No real sides with either.

6.) No significant sheds, the hair regrowth cycled a bit but nothing bad.
