A lot of people have complained about Ghostbond/White Glue not holding their hairlines down for long enough - I suspect I know why.

I had this trouble in the past. The several times I tried it in the past, I felt like it was a terrible product, because as soon as the body got hot, or shower was taken, or the piece was exposed to water, the adhesive with become gummy again, losing its hold.

That's because 1 layer is not enough. If you use one layer, you will encounter this problem as soon as the glue is exposed to heat or water.

In order for the glue not to revert to this consistency in such instances, you have to use more than one layer. It's that simple.

I've been wearing the same piece, very comfortably, for several days with no lifting.

It was unbearable initially because I got some hairs trapped under the base, making my scalp itching - but I adjusted.

Does a person have to be good with paste and glue to wear a system effectively? Janey + glue usually = Disaster, similar to Janey plus Bleach.
Asking if Cotton "googled it" is sort of passive aggressive since most of us are smarter than average and are well aware of google and RTFM always makes Linux guys come off as busy jerks. Imagine if Janey just asked everyone if they had googled "it?"

I would be less popular than I even am they say Imagine having difficulty with a product and giving up on it before you even read the freaking instructions. That's why I said, "did you google it?
Having difficulty with a product, saying/thinking it doesnt work, giving up on it, all because you couldn't be bothered to read the instructions just seems more absurd to me. You basically deserve it at that point.

Almost as absurd as your ramblings on every post on this website.

That's pretty personal so I desist as I do recognize, this isn't a topic likely to edify me so as always, I will delete forthwith.

You don't have to be that good with glue tbh. I'm only speaking in difference to white glue, not clear - which is much messier to use.

I have been using only 1 layer for the past 2 years, and it works fine for me. I prefer less glue because it makes clean-up much easier, and I de/re weekly so that it feels fresh more often.

I do have to touch up the hairline every 3 days or so, but that is very quick/minor.

I feel like one layer just leaves the glue in a state where it can constantly melt down because exposed to heat, sweat, wet, etc

So easy to clean UTS even with a full head bond. It's like a joke.

Now I'm only going to do perimeter and center...Need more breathabillity. This stuff unquestionably is not breathable.

With another Prohairlabs glue Trandermal there is a huge difference between 4 and 5 layers as well. 4 just doesn't holt -- 5 does.

I have experimented with this in the past too. I wouldn't recommend it. What happens is that the un-glued section in the middle traps an air bubble in it and then when you are sleeping (i.e. putting pressure on the system) this air then forces out wherever it can, which means it loosens the bond all over.

You could try a criss-cross pattern, I suppose this will be a bit more solid hold.

Another problem was that the un-bonded section would sweat and the sweat becomes trapped within the bonded permimeter... and eventually has to leak out. You could try using a sweat blocker.

Ultimately UTS is meant to be fully bonded. With lace the heat escapes upwards but same cannot be achieved on UTS/poly.
