Hello,

OK, well, obviously it's relatively late at night and I'm doing feverish research since my girlfriend was taking pictures of me, and well, from the birdseye view, I'm freakin' thin.

The question is this.
I'm only twenty four, my hair loss is sort of like thinning all together and evenly over the whole middle/top (like, picture an old bald man, all the places he's bald, I'm thinning)

I was thinking of minoxidil because it's topical, but I'm getting some mixed signals about that it might not work on the front, yet it says if I'm young enough it'll help a lot.

I believe in minoxidil the most cause my friends' dad has hair like fabio and he uses it, and frankly, I'd prefer not to take pills since who knows when you won't have health insurance to pay for it.

My are my questions in summation: Can Minoxidil work for me given the thinning pattern that I'm seeing? If I use it, can I shave my head and it will still have an effect on me? Is Nizoral that great? if i use it, and then stop taking it some day, will all my hair fall right out, or will it go back to the way it would have been at that point, cause I've heard it just pulls it all out if you stop.

what is the absolute cheapest proven hair regrowth pill on the market.

I'm just skeptical but need to take action like NOW!

it'd be a great help and praise be to whomever responds to this.
thanks so much.

If you're not liking the price of Propecia you could try to get Proscar. It's the same thing as Propecia (finasteride) only it comes in a 5mg pill. You can cut it up into 4ths or 5ths and save a lot of money. It's around $80 for 30 pills which will last about 4 or 5 months....Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Minoxidil works...It can be a pain in the *** to apply twice a day but it works. It works on the front too. The only reason why they claim it to work on the vertex only is becuase that's the area of the scalp that it was tested on in the FDA trials. Here's an article about it working on the anterior areas of the scalp http://www.hairlosstalk.com/discussions ... hp?t=13992

shave your head if you like it wont change how the minoxidil will work for you.
Nizoral....I seriously doubt it will make your hair fall out from discontinuing it's use....Many people stop using it and I've never heard one complaint. It's more of an adjunct to a regimen. It will keep your scalp in good condition.
Maybe you were talking about the minoxidil?? In that case yes...when you discontinue it's use you should expect to lose any hair you kept or gained from it's use.
