to my understanding castration works because the balls produce a lot of 5AR (most of the 5AR in the human body) but idk if it also play a part in initiating puberty so it might be a case that cutting them off after pubety is about as effective as taking giant amounts of finasteride
female hairloss is caused by DHT just like male hairloss but i am not sure if it's a difference in pattern is to do with the difference in the distribution DHT sensitive anogen receptors in the hair or to do with maybe oestrogen sensitive receptors playing a positive role in hair growth
as far as hair loss is concerned i know from my own experience that most people will just look at it as a couple of hairs in the sink until the day they start experiencing bad hair days more and more consistently
