I am really starting to notice my hair changing now that my hairloss is not being reduced using nizoral 2% either that, or I'm becoming more agitated by not having hair as full as I'd like. Rest assured with nizoral my hair fall has not reduced.
I'd like to see some friendly and as open as you like opinion and discussion on how I plan to take finasteride.
I want to start on as low as is deemed effective dosage because I want to inhibit DHT but not all of it, I'm still only young and I mean even 40% would be beneficial to my hair than none at all. And I'm taking a cautious approach to try and minimise any sides I might get although I'm not going to expect them.
Plan of action
1. Begin use of finasteride at 0.05mg dosage everyday.
by idea of being able to get the dosage from a 1mg tablet is this;
From a 1mg tablet of finasteride;
360º of the tablet = 1mg, therefore;
1/360 = 0.00278mg (1º = 0.00278mg)
0.05mg = 17.98º
Using a needle and food colouring and a protractor to mark the increments before cutting the tablet into 0.05mg doses. I have no idea how fiddley this is going to be but I'd imagine frustratingly so. But I have no other thoughts on how to acurately measure the dose.
2. Continue usage of 0.05mg of finasteride for 2 months and note effects if any, even if slight and should sides, if any, be negligible continue use for another 2 months and observe effectiveness on hairloss and noting any continuation of a particular side effect or the disappearance of such.
3. Should 0.05mg be proving effective without side effect continue for 1 month and increase to 0.1mg on the second month and note any potential changes in 2 weeks of use, if side effects are present, reduce to 0.05mg.
4. If 0.05mg presents a continuation of mild side effect, continue using that dosage and do not increase. after 1 month decrease to every other day and observe side effect if reduced continue this fashion for 2 months and observe the effectiveness compared to everyday dosage. If ineffective, consider discontinuation.
