I am very happy with the results so far :)
9 months Generic finasteride
also: Nizrol Shampoo 1% 3 times a week, Niacin daily, Multi Vitamin, and Fish Oil Daily
I had difficulty lining-up the shots, so I added green reference points.
My hair was worst on the crown, which has improved the most... as seen here (Before-Left, After-Right)

It has also helped on my part-line considerably... as seen here (Before-Left, After-Right)

These shots were taken with a flash at close range, so they make things look worse than they are. In natural light you can no longer see my scalp at all.

You have responded really well. You may even get some more improvement yet for a few more months.

Congrats man!

Congratulations Paul, it seems your alopecia follows a female pattern, can you confirm?

What is the female pattern of alopecia?....I thought alopecia comes in spots anywhere.
For me, it was mainly in the crown, with diffuse thinning on top....if thats "female pattern alopecia" ....then yes

Good results man, especially without minoxidil, but which gineric finasteride did you use?

1/4 Fincar from United Pharmacies
Things seemed to accelerate when I started taking the Niacin with it...possibly it would have anyway. If you do take Niacin, only do so at night and get non-flushing kind (I take it to lower cholesterol)

Thanks everyone for the kind words!
Had I not found this forum, I would have been broke by now!
I took Propecia for the 1st month ....yikes $80 (Chicago)........then I found this forum. I now probably spend more on my multi vitamins!

The pictures are misleading.. one is more over exposed than the other.

LOL. I just had to post that, I've seen so many people say ridiculous stuff like that. :hairy:
