8th month update ****pics inside****

I have been on Propecia for about 8 months. I also use nizoral every three days and T-Gel every three days. I also drink at least three cups of green tea a day. I also grind up flax seed and eat it on my cereal every other morning. Well I just wanted to get some objective feedback about my hair. If you have questions ask. I put three new pics for my hairline becuase that is what I am most concerned about. Also what color would you describe my eyes as?

I am not trying to make anybody sad. I have had male pattern baldness for more than four years. I was just trying to see if anyone saw any difference between month 7 and 8. Sorry if I make anybody depressed.

I would say that it 'appears' that your temples are in noticable better condition from the 7th month to the 8th month. Your hair overall seems to be in solid shape because when the hair is extremely damp like the pictures you have taken it is in its 'weakest' form in terms of appearance of coverage, etc. Good job.

I can't see visible changes, but at least you did not lose hair in these months. So, if you are happy with it and you are not losing hair, then stick with it :wink:

I am going bald. Thanks Mr. 9.50 posts per day but I was not looking for somebody to criticize me and tell me that I am not going bald. I didn't know that you were a dermotologist. You have been a member on this forum for three days. I am one of the few that will actually post pictures of themselves on this forum and let other people see if I am progressing or not. This forum isn't all about talking sh*t. I realize how stupid and lame it is to talk sh*t over an internet forum so I am not going to insult you, even though I should. When I see someone who doesn't have severe hair loss on this forum, which I have, I am not going to tell them that they are not going bald. Even though it is on my mom's side and I have had two different derms tell me that I have male pattern baldness. This means nothing becuase you said I am not going bald, right. I have noticed my hairline recede over the past four plus years through photographs since I have had my hair buzzed short for many years. This changed when I noticed the recession. I started buzzing it at 7/8s of an inch instead of 3/8s of an inch. I thought this forum was intended for information on male pattern baldness and not for an outlet for your anger. Post your pics if you are going bald and I appartently not. Which you will probably not. If you read all my posts I have never freaked out about my hair and it has been almost a year since I have noticed my hair loss. So, try again. You will increase your post count.

I think you have much bigger problems than your hair mate. I feel like a bit of vain farktard worrying about my hair. So many have go it so much worse. You don't even have a hairloss problem. I hardly even do and mine is a thousand times worse than yours.

Here's a hint for you ... see that teeny tiny little bit of skin at the swirl of your crown? Well that's NORMAL. Everyone has one. Even 16 year old girls with really thick hair. It's called the crown of your head.

Now stop complaining.

It does look like there is an improvement at the temples, crown looks no different but then like you said your temples are your main worry. At least you haven't lost anymore. And your eyes look green.

It's clear that you at least maintained all of your hair, but i belive you also gain some..not much, but still. 100% sure your hair looks better than 8 months before, so that means you're good responder. The great thing is....he's no longer 'going bald'. From what I can see, he's maintained the hair he has and his temples look quite a bit better.

Your hair's looking decent mate, best of luck that things continue to improve, I hope propecia is going to work as well for me

He is/was receeding. I think it's unfair to judge someone on whether the problem's severe or not. Perhaps it is to him. Many men with completely bald heads don't see it as a problem whatsoever, whereas for some who have just began to receed, it can make you feel like it's the worst thing that ever could happen to you.

i guess he just has higher standards than you. you should find another way to vent your frustration that you didn't do something about your hairloss sooner.

i think some people have waited so long to do something about their hairloss that their frame of reference for a "good head of hair" is much different than someone who catches it early. while i wouldn't categorize your hairloss as severe, you clearly do have male pattern baldness so i think you were right to start your regime and you should keep it up. it's hard for me to see a real improvement in your hairline, but it does look slightly better. but then, the greatest achievement is that it hasn't gotten worse.

If I responded and said "dude! you're screwed you look like you will be slick bald in 6 months, your crown is shot to hell"

...you would say that he is not that bad and I am over reacting.

If I responded and said "That really is not a 'severe' hair loss problem at all"

...you would say that he is loosing his hair and I am under reacting.

So what is the answer?, maybe I should just say what he wants to hear, more to the point what you want to hear, I realise this negates the purpose of asking for honest feedback on these forums, but what the hell here goes...

sh*t dude, you were screwed up bad, that shot of your crown showed some f*****g awesome damage, what the f*** happened? where you in an accident ? are you going through chemo ??....WOW!! just looked at your latest pictures, that is some f*****g fine progress, you have really kicked this bithces *** into touch, your completely bald crown is now 100% filled in, fantastic dude!!


For those who are finding it hard to tell, the bottom photo I would say is hair loss, 'severe' even, the top shows very very little or even zero hair loss

Here is what I said: "When I see someone who doesn't have severe hair loss on this forum, which I have, I am not going to tell them that they are not going bald" You were saying that I have no hair loss. So I said I don't say to people they don't have a hair loss problem if they do not have severe hair loss. I was not implying that I had severe hair loss. I was saying I don't act like you when I see someone who doesn't have severe loss and tell them they have no hair loss. You were doing this to me. When I say someone who doesn't have severe hair loss I mean the early stages of male pattern baldness. When I said "I am going bald" I meant that as I have male pattern baldness. I didn't mean that I was almost bald. Other people seem to tell that I have male pattern baldness. From now on I will us male pattern baldness instead of going bald to avoid confusion. Point out to me where I said I have severe hair loss.

It is a general thing that I see all the time on these forums, someone posts a head with very little or even zero hair loss and everyone says how well he is doing because his 10 month pictures look identical hey that's some f*****g awesome maintenance
