8 weeks on minoxidil, thinking about quitting

hey, I'm 24 y/o and started using minoxidil 8 weeks ago.
my regimen is 5% minoxidil liquid - once a day, and 2-3 times a week washing hair with nizoral 2% shampoo.
when I started I had a full crowded hair but noticed a little thinning in the crown, and a minor receding hairline.
now, after 8 weeks the hairline's scalp is more visible and also are the paths from both sides of the head.
so I'm confused, don't know what to do since it only got worst. but on the other hand i used it only once a day so if i start using it twice i might see enhanced shedding, and if i quit using it on the hairline i might get the same result.
when should I know if this product works for me or only get the things worst?
what about quitting using it after 8 weeks of once a day?

thanx. :/

ok, seems like most of the 'weak' hairs have already fallen. when i started using minoxidil i didn't think it could do any harm for the current hairs. thought it will only get better.
notice that i only use it once a day - 1ml. is it effective?
some people in several forums that use minoxidil for months have mentioned that the solution on the crown area is effective, but the hairline got worst. that's what i am afraid of.
I have also heard about the dependence issue. if I stop using it today, are there any evidences that my hair will get back to the point before using it?

You will go baseline again..you will loose the regrowth ... keep your regimen, and one advice..dont think that you will stop male pattern baldness only with minoxidil...try to add some DHT blocker... finasteride,or etc.
