So I’m taking 1.25 mg of Finasteride daily (proscar cut in 4ths) and that’s it. I’m 29 now and started thinning around 24 but waited a little too long before doing anything about it. As far as my scalp and hair goes I’m quite sensitive to chemicals and such. I wash my hair mainly by massaging lemon juice/water mix (squeezed from lemons) and applying some coconut oil to my scalp after showering and I’ve found that my hair is much happier with this than using shampoo.
As far as the Finasteride effects on me I’ll start with what I noticed first to last. So before I started my hair was noticeably corse to the point where people actually commented how corse my hair was. So right away pretty much within a week of taking finasteride my hair stopped shedding pretty much all together. Within a month my hair became soft and healthier looking. Then my libido went way down at around the 4 month mark to the point where my girlfriend started wondering what was going on. I may cut back the dosage a bit to see if this helps but that’s basically where I’m at.
Anyways I’ll post some pics beside each other for comparison.
