5 years - Minoxidil 10%, Finasteride - Heavy Shedding

M Age 24. Regime History:
2017 - 2018: Minoxidil 5% (twice), Finasteride 1mg, MultiVitamin
2018 - Present: Minoxidil 10% (bed time), Finasteride 1mg, MultiVitamin

I suffer shedding every 6-8 months but not so severe & they always grow back. 5 weeks ago shedding started again but this time, extremely.

Scalp at crown wasn't visible at all and now it's shining like Sun. Now shedding has stopped (been 2 weeks) but no sign of recovery, unlike earlier.

Should I expect any recovery or accept the fate?

Try Topical finasteride it blocks more scalp dht than oral but also block serum dht because it goes systemic. I make it myself by crushing pills into alcohol/pg. Just a suggestion. I read many who said they had better results with Topical than oral.

Are you already using something like Nizoral to control the dandruff?

having dandruff or an inflamed scalp is going to be counterproductive if you are trying to reduce shedding and stabilize loss.

Yes I use it, can't notice dandruff anymore

No its not. Some generics arent as good as the original. This is probably why you keep balding. Did you get it prescribed?
