5 months still not long enough?

I'm approaching 5 months on finasteride now and the last 2 I added minoxidil back in and I'm still losing! I'm not seeing any progress at all :uglylol: I started with 1.25 mg and at about 2 months bumped it up to 2.5 mg. Should I start taking the whole pill or stay on half? It is depressing at 5 months I haven't seen any improvement and I'm still losing hair. It hasn't even stopped. Anyone else have this? :sad:

Hey mate,

Results from finasteride usually aren't apparent until 6-12 months into treatment. You shouldn't up your dose to anything above 1.25mg. Is finasteride the only product you're using for treatment?

You should give more time. At least a year

I was using minoxidil as well for a couple months but it causes irritation to my scalp and makes it itchy and sore so I stopped using it a few days ago.

broski, are you sure you're actually losing hair though? Like are you actually losing ground, the amount of hair you see falling out doesn't really matter.

I've been seeing more of my scalp so yes.
