Hi. Im 21 years old and for the past 4 years I have noticed a receding hairline, none or very very slight thinning of the crown (not noticeable at all) that I think will progress in the coming years. I experience the so called "dht-itch" somtimes at the hairline but mostly the crown and I tend to find some thin hair in that area aswell.

Im very well informed about the treatment options, what works and what doesnt but I havent done much except for observing and hoping for it being a mature hairline.

Im currently a norwood 1.5 and I just would like to MAINTAIN, regrowth and thickening is not necessary but appreciated if come along.

I took 0.25 mg propecia and experienced lots of physical and mental side effects that gradually improved over the past 6 months. Im still experincing some side effects and no its NOT in my head. I still experience about 10% of the side effects that I expect to improve over the next 6 months.
However, im not against this drug as it has made huge and unbelievable progress for many as it can be seen in every forum, but I wouldnt recommend it to anyone, at least not in my age.

Im using revita at the moment, but not sure if its doing much. hair appears thicker at first but flats out after 8-12 hours of use. been using it for 2/3 times a week and leaving it in for 5-10 minutes for the past 2 months and I see about 30-40 hairs in the shower.

I prefer a natural approach but unnatural and safer approaches are fine too.

-----------------------------------------------
My regimen list:

Silicea Original (incl. Silica, Zinc, Selenium, Biotin)
Omega 3
Magnesium
Vitamin d3
olive oil (applied topically)
apple cider vinegar
Exercise
Extremly healthy diet
Nettle tea
curcumin
and the "banned" tool
-----------------------------------------------

Yes, i know most of these will have little to no effect, what is your opinion, is there something I could add to the list?

Im going to leave minoxidil for now and use it as last resort if everything else fails because im worried about the side effects.

I cant and wont do laboratory chemical treatments at home such as RU.

Does revivogen work?

how legitimate is spironolactone? will the receding hairline progressively continue above the hairline where spironolactone is hopefully blocking it? I cant think of smearing all my head with that cream.

Is there anything else I should try?

Is regenepure or nizoral better than revita?

Saw palmetto, if working, im not ready to try more than 160 mg of it because of my experience with propecia.

Sorry for the long post, appreciate your inputs, thanks.

try the topical anti androgens. your current regimen is not enough.

I could think of adding Revivogen to the regimen. I dont know about Nizoral, I already have Revita which I asume is a better overall shampoo and dont feel it is doing much.
I read on the mens guide page that revivogen is supposed to be good for maintaining and even give a slight regrowth and I have also seen a moderate amount of good posts about it but just as many claiming that it does nothing.
Im thinking of giving it a try.

Any more suggestions?

I have ordered Revivogen bio-cleansing shampoo, im not expecting miracles but something good enough to switch with revita. The size of my "banned tools" needles is 0.75 mm.
revivogen scalp therapy is very expensive for just 3 months, i think I have to give up my current regimen to purchase that.

Any more suggestions?

All the supplements and products you are ingesting or applying topically seem harmless enough and may even provide some benefit(s). The trouble with your approach and I have done it myself, is that you will never know which product is working for you or not. Also iff you don't realize this already , you will learn real soon that many members here do not look at alternative natural treatment for male pattern baldness very favorably, but don't allow that to stop you. Like many of us here I too would prefer to use or integrate "nature's medicinal resources" (I have before) but frankly all my experiences with them so far have been dismal failures. I know there are some hair loss sufferers who allegedly achieve some benefits and as long as they are not soliciting or peddling a product I have decided there is no good reason to challenge someone who uses something that may bring them mental relief at minimum. This forum is not governed strictly by BIG PHARMA or FDA regulated hair loss medications. There is enough room for all uniquely shared conversations relating to Androgenetic Alopecia and other variants disorders associated with hair loss but if we want a fighting chance to maintain, attain, and/or sustain our hair the strongest weapons are the two pharmaceuticals most of us are more than familiar with by now. Thanx for sharing and all the best.

thx for the reply. Yes I understand that it is going to be difficult to judge what is working or not. but to stop the male pattern baldness process I feel that I have to attack it with all possible methods. Perhaps I will try to jump off few treatments during the regimen to see if they are working or not but as long as I can supply myself with them I will continue.

Today I bought a sack of olive oil soap that I will use in conjunction with revivogen bio-cleansing shampoo. I will most likely be mixing them together or apply the olive oil after a 5-10 mins of letting the shampoo sit in my scalp.

Im also thinking of ordering some low dose saw palmetto, preferably 160 mg. I have lurked around many forums and found few success stories, at least some that slowed the male pattern baldness process or stopped and maintained the hair loss. I also found some who suffered from persistent side effects. therefore im going to be extra careful with it, in case I decide to buy it.

I actually havent started with the regimen but I will update here whenever I have done it with updated list of my regimen.
