4 Months on propecia, hope for some, my unbiased experience

Hello,

My name is John im 23 years old. I am french so if there are mistakes im grammar mistakes im sorry.

I started losing my hair around 20 years of age, just lots of shedding every day. so I went to a local naturopath who suggested a 3 part topical lotion. 1st was deep cleaning, 2nd was a stimulator, 3rd was a ezyme blocker. There was no ingredients on the bottles and it looked home made.... But believe it or not it worked great, got rid of my hair loss and my scalp was no longer itchy (i had itchy scalp with red spots since my teens) the only problem.... THE PRICE, like 300 bucks for 2 months, i just could not afford it anymore.

So, i stoped usingh it and started shedding back to the point where I started (not bald, but under light i could see a horse shoe shape on my crown, and my family doesnt bald from the front, so this doesnt apply to people who have that)

I finally turned towards propecia, I was sooooo fearfull from all these websites claiming impotance and all sorts of crap that make this sound like the worst pill on the planet. Its the main reason I spent all this money on a natural formula.

Anyways, Im sorry to not have pics but here is my unbiased experience till now

First week I started taking the pill, I was paranoid about the side effects, but, has it turns out it did to me the exact opposite of what everyone told me, my libido went over the roof!!! I mean to the point where it was annoying, I kept getting hard ons in odd times of the day, and they where hard to control!! I had to think about sad things to keep em down lol. It took two weeks to get back to normal.

for the next 3 months my hair just kept shedding like usual, maybe even more, im talking ALOT of hair when in my hands when I wash. I was thinking about adding rogaine in the mix, but I decided to keep with propecia solo going after reading some posts.

And really, just like the box said, IM STARTING TO SEE RELULTS. My started to slowly disapear, even under the light!

During the 4th till now, my hair has been getting darker and Its really filling in, I had them cut just last week and I was looking at them on the big mirror in the barber shop, and it was totaly different from the last time I had went! My hair was all equal everywhere, and my temples are actually starting to fill in!

So, well, has you can see, I do not regret taking propecia for a second, But I also realise that I caught it fast, WICH IS THE SECRET. My sexdrive is great, I had sex 2 times in a row with my girlfriend 2 days ago, so i have 0 problems getting up.

So thats it, my head is getting better and Im getting no more headaches from looking at my head in the mirror, it has taken alot of stress off my back and saved me tons of money. I will stop only when Im ready have kids, that is something i dont want to mess around with.

I think propecia should be everyones first try instead of the last, damm! the money i would have saved!

I will come back if anything goes wrong.

Hey there!

There are 4 groups of people taking propecia.
1.) The one that get serious sides. (gynecomastia, ED)
2.) The one that get slight sides but decide to just live with it (lower Libido)
3.) The lucky ones who get no sides
4.) The VERY LUCKY ONES who get positive sides (beside it's effect on hair)

Count yourself lucky being in group 4.

HA! I came here today to join this site, and when I entered my email it said I had an account, so I reset my password and came back, just to realise I had a post! Good stuff! Brings me back to when I first started the hair loss fight...

Well, here is an update, could be interesting for some since things have changed in 3 years.

First, a few months after my old post, I started getting softer erections, that sucks cause I was on a roll with chicks back then. I could still get it up and all, but just not the way it "was". So, I decided to stop using it... After I stopped, my sex drive weakened even more! It took me about 1 whole year to get it back to normal range. I tell ya, the fact is DHT aint there for nothing. I read that pro body-builders use DHT based steroids, I'm guessing it does have somewhat to do with being a "real man"... But then again, it depends from what angle you look at it.

Then came the rogaine run. Kirkland minoxidil / nizoral 2% (i live in Canada) / Nioxin system 1 (shampoo and conditioner). This worked very well for me, and it was cheap. Only thing is that the damn minoxidil gave me rash, made my head red and all, the nizoral helped combat that, but it came to the point where I had to use the 2% solution every day. So I quit this.

I went back to my naturopath, who sell me this mystery snake oil. (follicle cleaner/vitamin and enzyme absorber/stimulant) you use these in that exact order, once a day. The stuff keeps my hair, it really does, but does not seem to grow it back. I don't know what's up with this place, I cant find anything about it on the internet exept the website (in french) feel free to check it out http://www.cliniquesantecapillaire.com/ ! The best thing about this place is the cleanser, that stuff is amazing, it makes my scalp nothing less than perfect. It breaks down all the sebum, I have zero sebum plugs or itch at all when I use it. My head feels great when I use her products, but its now up to 350$ per 2 months!!!!!! Its just too much for what seems like no regrowth... Oh and she has this shampoo that is great too, it does not "foam" and makes my scalp feel real clean.

Back to now, after using the natural treatment for a while, I decided to go back to minoxidil. Once again it works good with me but I cant stand the itch! y head gets red and all! So I quit again.

Let me tell yall something, until now, I had managed to keep all my hair for 3 years. Only now (since I quit everything for 6+ months) has the hair loss come back! But its worse than ever, its going down quick! I went back to the naturopath to halt it (and it works) and will be looking into this stack, in my opinion (and research) this should give me some results!

-Unscented rogaine foam (I hear this is the best version for the itching)
-Regenepure DR
-Nizoral 2%

I see this stack has a "less harsh version" of a successful run I had with Kirkland minoxidil/nioxin

I should start this in about 2 weeks. I will come back with an update some day I guess Hehe!
