4 Months On 10% Minoxidil, Adding Topical Finasteride

Hi All,
I am a man 47 years old, been thinning since 25 and been more or less bald the last 8-10 years.

Started a 10% minoxidil treatment in the beginning of February and can see some progress, i have attached pictures both with a 1mm cut. Its not a big difference, but i can feel the hair when i move my hand through it and it makes me feel better although its mainly new vellus hair

As everyone else i looked at ways to improve my regrowth, and this morning i started with a 5% minoxidil with 0.1% Finasteride (wich apparently should be equal to 1mg Finasteride (oral).

Will try to update more or less once in a month, hoping to see improved results from Finasteride, although a little nervous that it will create a new shedding (but doubt i can notice it on my bald head)

It's gets tougher and tougher to treat baldness as you get older but it's exciting that you actually got something going. Looking forward to your progress, keep it up!

Even if sparse, symmetry and evenness goes a long way.

my first update
I had no issues at all with the topical finasteride, I have no clue at all if it will work since I started with it end of may.

I started with 5%minoxidil but has changed to a solution with 10% minoxidil and 0,1% finasteride, I had a great start with the 10% solution and don't want to risk that 5% for some reason works less effective.

got my 1mm haircut again and the growth keeps up, considering my age i am truly happy with the result.

6-7 weeks on 10%minoxidil with 0,1% finasteride, looking at the pictures I think the one 12th of june before the topical finasteride was the best.

I think I have been shedding the last week's (when I look at the pictures) but 1mm hairs is not visible in the shower.

I hope there will be regrowth soon
