Hello all,
I'm 39, been using Nizoral 2% only for approx. 7 years. I have always had really thick (individual strand thickness) coarse hair. In my teens, hairdressers used to complain that it hurt their hands to scissor cut my hair. I've never had a particularly defined hairline, like edged grass, but again my hair has always been full. My dad lost his hair slowly starting in his early 30's and passed away at 81 with a Norwood 6. My mom's brother passed away at 81 with a Norwood 3 Vertex.
I have done my research and understand the big 3 are the surest way to go, however, my wife and I are ready to start a family and despite what I have read about there being no complications, I don't want to try for a baby while on finasteride. In the last year, I've noticed that my hairline, especially at the temples, has moved a bit, maybe half a centimeter or less. My question is, besides Nizoral, what could I use to maintain the hair I have which my wife insists is very thick/full? Most of you here will probably agree that we watch our own hairlines closer than anyone else in our lives, so I am sure there has been a change. nizoral/Min/spironolactone-would that do it? Again, I just want to keep what I have for a couple more years until we have kids and then I can get on finasteride.
Thank you in advance for any advice, help you can give.
