Long story short. Young fella losing hair (25 heading to 26) All progress over the last 3 years.

September 2015 (Day 0) - 2x a day Minoxidil 5%. finasteride topical 0,05%, 1x in 3 days Nizoral 2%

December 2015 (After 3 months) - 2x a day Minoxidil 5%. finasteride topical 0,05%, 1x in 3 days Nizoral 2%

Early March 2016 (5,5 months) - 2x a day Minoxidil 5%. finasteride topical 0,05%, 1x in 3 days Nizoral 2%

April/May 2016 (7/8 months) - 2x a day Minoxidil 5%. finasteride topical 0,05%, 1x in 3 days Nizoral 2%

During this time I lost interest in HairLossTalk.com and enjoyed normal life with not that bad hair. So no actuall detailed pictures done.

December 2016 (1 year 3 months) - 2x a day Minoxidil 5%. finasteride topical 0,05%, 1x in 3 days Nizoral 2%, Added oral finasteride 1,25 mg daily
During late summer/autumn things got to sh*t quite fast. Only two pics cause it shows how fast it kicked me to my ***.

Things started to look better again

Huge shed. I lost most of the hair in the temples and hair thinned out all over my head. In september I had to buzz. Looked like sh*t. Lady at the bank denied to close my account at first, because she did not believe I am the person on the picture of my ID... Probably one of the worst period of my life. (Sorry no pics)

October 2017-October 2018 - 2x a day Minoxidil 5%. finasteride topical 0,05%, 1x in 14 days Nizoral 2%,oral finasteride 1,25 mg daily, 5 mg dutasteride 1x in 4 days - Last duta on the 05th October. Last fina and minoxidil 30th October. No pics without a hat...



November 2018 and first half on 2018 - Nothing
Head itching came in about 2 weeks off, ball ache in about 10 days. The whole December I was extremely tired like never before (finasteride, dutasteride withdrawal probably?). In the December came hell of a shedding.

After about 10 days shedding reduced from I would say over 100 hairs to 5-6 hairs.
At 3 weeks I noticed, that the vellus sh*t got actually darker and little longer.

Also when you stopped Fina did you get ball ache? Did it go away? What about sexual sides

I had a ball ache the first half year on fina. And headaches on dutasteride. And yes, after I stopped finasteride and dutasteride the ball ache came again. But only for around a month.
Being on dutasteride and finasteride lowered my erection and one of the reasons I stopped with both is my current gf. Now it is 2.5 months off and the erection is finally becoming better.

Looks like trinov is doing something.

It is doing something for sure. The sudden growth and darkening of vellus hairs was "A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one". Also dht itch went away. However since now I lost most of those with the shed I have now and lex brotzu said nothing about shed, I am not sure where it is heading now. We will see in the next 3 months. Either I will go fullspeed nw4 or there will be new hairs showing up.

2nd half of 2016 looks like you went from normal hairline back to norwood 3 or sth. But I guess the pics can't be so easily compared.
Anyway, seems you got good results on topical finasteride at first and then not so much anymore. What was the concentration of the topical finasteride?
Any lifestyle or diet changes that could explain the wild swings?

Guys, I'm not trying to be rude or inflammatory here: but this is all really scarey. In my opinion, taking any kind of medication that affects your testicles is an absolute no no. The most important thing on a man is healthy testicles and hormone balance. It could mess you up for later life and cause all sorts of problems with testosterone.

I agree that having hair is important and makes you feel much better, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum. But risking your body chemistry in the long term is just not worth it.

Isn't it better to get a good hair system? There is all the silly stigma and all that, but it is totally reversable and has no health risks.

There are some health risks, I've heard of guys getting scalp infections underneath their rug.

Also if you're gonna date women you had better tell them on the first date that its not your real hair.
Things could get real awkward if the contraption falls off while you're both going for a romantic swim
