Approaching three years on Propecia and having enjoyed supurb results for most of this time i am now edgeing backwards.
The worst effected area is around the crown, is it normal for this to happen after a number of years, the thinning around the crown seems to have happened in just a few months time. cheers

Yes this is a well known developing!

Have a look at that:

(upper curve)
Your hair will thin more and more.
Doctors don't say that because a) they don't know b) they don't want you to know.
If you have aggressive hair loss chances are very high that you will follow that (upper) curve.

Options:

Switch to avodart.

and/or use minoxidil.

Why is this happening (this is a guess, I read about it a year or s.th. ago )?

Because your body increases the receptors for dht (or whatever) production in your follicles.
That's why: It's all about genetics!!

Good luck.
