3 Months on Propecia Shedding Even More

So, I started taking a 2.5MG of Proscar in the middle of January. I've missed a few days here and there but other than that I've been consistent. My concern is the shed and hairloss. I've noticed a slight recession on my hairline and I am losing so much hair all over. The hair loss appears to be diffuse for the most part including the sides of my head. The quality of the hair that comes out appears to vary--some are thinner than others. I would say I am easily losing about 200 hairs throughout the day. Any thoughts, should I stick it out more or look to something else?

wow dude 2.5 a day... u should keep going man, the next month or so you're shedding should calm down.. once that does you just gotta wait for regrowth... how come u use 2.5 a day and not the recommended 1mg

Honestly, because I have a prescription 5MG of Proscar and it's just easier to split into (2) 2.5mg vs (4) 1.25mg. I am going to get a 1mg of finasteride next once this preis up. So in theory, the finasteride is pushing out all the old hair to regrow the new ones?

As for my hairline, I see it slowly going back since I have started. Does that tell us anything about how/if the finasteride is working?
