3 month Propecia, Nizoral

Well, Almost made the 3 month mark on finasteride, my hair have lost a lot of its density, and many hairs around the hairline, it looks worse than before, vertex region have gotten more obvious, and so has the front part. But I haven't noticed any shedding, like many hairs that fallout.Can a shedding be unnoticed but extensive after some months on a treatment like finasteride? I'm getting worried soon :roll:

stick to it.. trust me. you shed a lot and it makes your hair look like sh*t. i had to use couvre a little because of the shedding,...but i waited it out ..the shedding stopped and now when it dries i see no thinning areas

Sure it's just a shedding? how come that I don't see a high amount of shedded hairs?

I am the same kenneth. I started using Proscar (5mg into 1/4's) about three weeks ago and I too have noticed that my hair looks a little thinner. Like you, I have not noticed any shedding. Normally one or two hairs when I'm in the shower and just a few if I run my hands through my hair during the day, still nothing major. In fact, since I noticed hair loss many years ago I never never had a major shed or anything like that. It seems a very slow loss over many many years. I'm 35 by the way.

Maybe that's better for us in the long run. I would not worry about. Just take each day as it comes. Try not to keep looking in the mirror every five minutes. Hair takes months to recover not minutes or hours.

thanks, it's just that my hair looks worse everywhere, especially the top front, I can't comb my hair the way I used to anymore. It's hopefully a good sign but the present status of my hair really freaks me out :wink:

BTW, if MSM makes hair grow faster, can it make telogen phases shorter? My hair looks like sh*t now, because of the finasteride and nizoral shed, especially the front and the hairline have gone through the floor, HELP!!! :freaked:
