I'm NW2 vertex. I have some recession in the temples and two balding patches in the crown. The rest of my hair has good density thank God to where I can comb over and it's not too noticeable
Anyways, I started using Rogaine 1.5 years ago and the hair loss has seemingly totally stopped. I'm going to start using finnasteride this week. I want to do a hair transplant but I'm worried the hair loss may come back to where the transplanted hair and the balding hair will look like a horrible mishmash
What are the odds that the Rogaine and finasteride will maintain all my current hair permanently as long as I keep using it? I want to do a big hair transplant - maybe 3800 grafts so I can have great density all over. Is that a bad idea as in should I try to keep most of my donor area for the future when I'm older? Can I use chest hair or back hair in future if I need it as transplant? I am middle eastern so I have very thick body hair
In terms of family history, all the men in my dad's side were totally bald by 24 but my mom's side has decent hair.
