The first thing I noticed was a small thin patch right at the front of my hairline, and six months later more of the front has thinned. I wanted to wait and see if it was just a "maturing hairline" but now I think I need to take some action. Has anyone had success on Finasteride? Did it slow down the loss? How long did it take for you to notice an effect? Minoxidill isn't an option because I have a cat and it's toxic to cats.

I use Minoxidil and have a cat as well and there's no issues. As long as you keep the minoxidil in an enclosed place where your cat doesn't get near it, be smart about it and wash your hands thoroughly there shouldn't be any problems. Use the foam if you want since it dries quicker and is less messy. These cat cases are extremely rare.
