Hi everyone,
First post here. I started noticing receding in my early 20’s, but didn’t think too much of it. Receding hair seems to run in my family, although not particularly vertex balding. Over the last couple of years, I’ve had noticeable thinning on my vertex, which, on top of my receding hairline, is looking pretty bad for a 28 year old.
In January of this year I decided to take action, so I started taking Kirkland Minoxidil 5% (the liquid/dropper kind). I’ve been using it twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. During the first month or so, I had a lot of hair loss, which from what I’ve gathered, indicates that it’s working. After nearly 9 months, I am having my doubts, and I also don’t like the flakes that it leaves in my hair (and sometimes it itches like mad).
I’m thinking about switching to Rogaine Foam as it seems the general consensus that it’s not very messy. Any other suggestions? Seeing a doctor is probably the best one I presume?
Photos included below... I have palm-aide in my hair which I probably should have washed out prior to the pictures so I don’t look like such a grease monkey, oh well!
Cheers!
