I thought my hair could of been thinning the last 3 years but I just have not been sure and or in Denial. I even came here 6 months ago and got mixed thoughts. Now I am certain it's def thinning. It does not seem to be the normal balding though. Here are pictures. Can anyone give me advice, if it's def thinnning...and the best route to take to stop it from thinning more. Thanks all!

Yes, definitely diffuse thinning going on there. I have the same, but worse but then again I'm 10+ years older than you.

Minoxidil will thicken your hair, you may want to consider finasteride but I personally avoid anything that messes around with my hormones.

You may also want to check your vitamin D and zinc levels.

Live the next year like it's the last year of your life, because in many ways, it is. I'm only half joking. Seriously though, get on finasteride and minioxidil asap, and stick with it. The longer you wait, the more you will lose, and the harder it will be to regain what you've already lost.

It sucks telling people their only real option is a hormonal drug, but its really the truth right now. I never tried it either, but I might pretty soon. I have watched guys I knew go bald on rogaine especially if you got bad genes. I wouldnt put much trust on rogain maintaining anything
I dont know I see some thinning in the front and the crown. How is that not typical male pattern baldness? It doesnt always follow the exact pattern. finasteride is definitely worth a try. It doesnt agree with you then I guess acceptance is next on the list

Do I need to get finasteride prescribed ? If so what type of doctor should I set up an appt. with? I'm not sure. I didn't know it was thinning in the crown until you just told me.

Actually I used to always buz my head so I don't think it will be that bad to be honest. I know alotnof guys dread the shaved head look but I wear it even when i was younger

I buzzed my head recently, and I found that it honestly wouldn't be so bad if I still had a good hairline, but I don't, so it's not.
