27 years old should I get a transplant??

Hi all been slowly receding for awhile now… I’ve tried pretty much everything and am currently using finasteride/min topical mix. My hair isn’t crazy bad but I’m self conscious about it and I want to enjoy these years and get back to where I feel good about not having to wear a hat all the time… if I continue to recede super slow do you think it’s worth getting a transplant? I feel like I would only need like 1500 grafts so that down the line if I need another one I’ll still have plenty of donor hairs left? I can upload picture of my current hairline. Thanks all

the topical solution for probably a little over a year. And no not that I am noticing, I am just slowly receding and thinning thus the reason for wanting a transplant. I can post some pics

Honestly, it is a bit worrying that you aren't regrowing or even maintaining on finasteride / min. I think you should do your research and get a consultation with an ethical surgeon to eventuate your case. You could even do several consultations with different clinics to see what your options are. My personal opinion is to not do hair transplant unless you've stabilized your hair loss. If you have a good, thick donor area, 1500 grafts is nothing and you will have plenty left for the future.

I’d be inclined to think you may not be thinning and that’s your hairline maturing however others may disagree with me …

Hi there,

I think your hair is fine - great matter of facts. I would second what @Lokus423 said and don’t do it now. Enjoy your hair and if it does get bad in couple of years then you can always do the hair transplant to recover it.

I started shedding slowly at the same age as you but it never really got too bad till I was 35 and that’s when I got my hair plant and now everybody swears that I look ten years younger (back to 26 again

Can’t you see the hairline slowly thinning etc? Like it just feels thinner around the hairline as well. I’m using topical finasteride.

Not the strongest hairline, you could do with 1000-1500 grafts. If it's bothering you go for it. Choose a good surgeon though. I'm glad I had my transplant

Yeah see that’s what I’m talking about, I’ll be 28 in a few months and think it’s just getting worse very slowly so I feel like 1500 wouldn’t be that bad of an idea. How old were you when you got yours done how much did it cost?

I was 25, it was in Turkey cost about 1900 Euros back in 2017. But most decent surgeons now charge at least 1.5 euros to 3 Euros per graft. I'll be getting my second transplant later this year. I want to thicken it up. Johnny Bravo style

Yo! The first of every set of photos is 3 years ago and the 2nd today. Will be 28 in December, if I wanted to get a transplant at like 29 do you think I would be fine? I am definitely losing ground around the hairline just very slowly. Thoughts? Thanks dude!

Your loss isn't aggressive so are a perfect candidate for a transplant, you wouldn't need a lot of grafts maybe 1500-2000 so it would be cheaper for you as well. Just choose a quality surgeon. Sure get it at 29, get it now. It's up to you
