Hi, may I ask how much the procedure cost? Does Dr Lupanzula charge per graft? I am looking to get a procedure done in the region of 2000 grafts.

Also how long is the waiting time in terms of him being fully booked? Did you have to wait long?

Many thanks

Hey, i waited two months. It is 3 euros per graft plus VAT which is 21%

Day 31: The Paranoid Phase + PRP

I came to Brussels today for session 2 of PRP. I noticed the past few days an increase in shedding and when Dr Lupanzula was cleaning my head a lot of hair came off on his wipes.

I read a lot about the shedding phase and even though it is totally 100% normal, it can still play with your mind.... All part of the journey I guess.

I am a little worried about the gaps in my donor area (sides) but Dr said it would fill up with time. Happen to anyone else?

Time for the worst part of the hair transplant.... The Shedding.

In the pics my hair looks wet. That is all the PRP "juice" haha

Don't worry too much about the donor area. As soon as your hair starts to grow it will be unnoticeable. I had three procedures done and it still looks full

Do you know why donor area's are gappy at the start? is it because some hair grows faster than others?

Your donor area has experienced a major trauma...it's confused...it will take some time to adjust and recover. Don't worry. And be patient. Only after 4-5 months, you will see some improvement. After 10 months you'll start to enjoy it. After two years you'll start to plan another procedure. My prediction :)

Thanks for that. A looonnnng wait. And I will need a 2nd hair transplant but I hope that will be in 6-8years and not 2 years.

That depends on a few factors. if you are lucky and have no further hair loss and if you are happy with the results of your 1st transplant than you won't even need the 2nd one. Mind you, once when everything is settled, you start to think like...hm it's nice but maybe if I do one more transplant it will look thicker and will be nicer :). In that case, you're better off doing it sooner rather than later.

This shedding phase has me feeling low :). Super paranoid.

Month 9 + 8 days :

Positive. I can wear my hear without nanogon (hair fibres) when styles forward ONLY. Top and mid is filled in a lot but my hair is quite long. I will get a cut soon and see if I can still wear my hair without nanogon when styles forward.
Negative. Hairline is very spare. Within Nanogon and Vo5 putty I can JUST ABOUT style the front of my hair up.... but close up you can see gaps still.

Please Note : I do not part my hair, its just for demonstration so you can see the difference compared to the start.

Dr Lupanzula said he could fix this but I need to wait until month 12. Maybe 500-700 grafts?

Great, thanks. And just curious, whats your finasteride and minoxidil dosage and did you start them prior to your FUE or shortly after your FUE? Just looking to compare to what I recently did, a 3300-3500 FUT Oct 2019.
