25 year old Male: Receding Hairline, Balding?

I recently been doing my hair more up, and my girlfriend took a note of my hairline and told me she thinks I'm balding. The sides of my front hairline seem to go back pretty far. I don't know how I'm supposed to be able to tell on my own. I've been wearing my hair long and had bangs since I was 14 years old, and generally had medium to long hair growing up, so I don't have any points of reference except for maybe baby pictures. My hair has remained long and thick throughout the years. Neither of my male grandparents on either side are bald, although both my female grandparents have somewhat thin hair. My dad has some issues with thinning hair, but it only started to do so recently around 60 years old. My mother, on the other hand, has thick and long hair, especially considering she is about 60 as well. Is this a receding hairline that could lead into baldness, and if so, is there anything i can do about it?

I found a picture of what I had maybe 12-14 years ago:

it looks like mine did years ago and i have a major m shaped hairline now

yours has receded imo but im no expert and don't want to scare you but id suggest you start treating it now with minoxidil while you can before you lose anymore

i'm sure others on here will have better advice

It might be considered a "mature hairline" but the little thinning at your crown gives it away that it's male pattern baldness. It's not bad at all. Look into Finasteride.

Need better lighting for your pics. But looks like hairline might be receding a little.

Well, that's where I part my hard between the top and the back. I deliberately comb the back part down and the top forward to have a bit of a part there. In that case, is it still considered thinning?

I see recession at temples. I recommend finding a reputable hair-transplant doctor. Get your hair mapped out for miniaturization. Take finasteride ONLY if there is significant miniaturization present and doctor recommends it.

Whats your family history like? Your in good shape for 25 in my opinion. Just do research on finasteride, talk to a doctor about it. No one would look at your hair and say your balding, just some minor recession. And they would only know that if they new your old hairline which most dont.
