Hi all,

New to this and really just wanted thoughts and opinions.

First off I believe I am a Norwood 3 but can't tell so was wondering if I could get some assistance (not that putting a label against the recession will do anything to prevent it haha)

Second off is how people deal with it? In the last 6 months I have come to terms with my hair loss and now no longer try to hide it. Before I had a sort of fringe comb over which looking back at it just looked awful. I have 1 mate who is bald and 2 others who are losing their hair in various ways and we can all have a laugh about amongst each other and with others which is huge progress from 6 months ago. But admittedly when I am on my own, I do get upset about it and hate looking at myself in the mirror. To top it all off I am recently single (6months) and I know that women care about more than just hair but it does affect confidence levels when trying to meet new women. Really what I am asking is, what do people to do to help cope with it and am I just being silly about the whole thing? Any comments would be very much appreciated

Ps i currently use minoxidil

Jamie

Can you see that bumps on your forehead? That is bone growth which causes your hairloss. I too have that bumps and I am Norwood 2 . the best thing to do is shave it off or keep your hairs small. Long hair actually makes someone looks more bald. Do not thinknit constantly which could make you paranoid . change your focus from hairloss to other good things like career or sport or hobby. Best luck!

I think I do have bumps yes. I am reluctant to let go as the hair that I have is actually good hair annoyingly! I don't have it too long and everyone tells me not to worry and that you can barely notice it but I think that's just them them being polite haha

The big 3 in hair loss seems to be finasteride(propecia), minoxidil, and nizoral shampoo. You might want to add these. Research finasteride and the side effects to see if you're willing to take the plunge. I'm on finasteride for over 2 months and haven't had any obvious sides yet. Also think about derma rolling. Many people have claimed excellent results.

Have looked into finasteride but it seems to be quite expensive. Not to sure how well it will be able to grow back the temples as well sadly as I'm sure the follicles have closed.

They may have, but you're young. Microneedlng might do the trick for you.

Also, I use generic finasteride from costco. 15 bucks for 3 month supply. I'm not sure what country you're in.

You can order finasteride generic from online legit pharmacies without a script where it costs less than 25 cents a day. Research alldaychemist or inhouse pharmacy.

finasteride works on the whole head and works on stopping further hair loss.

Do we think micro needling with minoxidil would do a job?
I think it would help. However, minoxidil and micro needling stimulate hair growth. You still have dht attacking hair follicles. If you're afraid of finasteride maybe go with the nizoral shampoo. You need something to slow down the dht from attacking your hair follicles.

About 5 months now but only once daily. And no I've had an occasional irritated scalp and occasionally get flakey skin but it appears to be random
