Hey all,
Friend of mine pointed out that my crown looked a little thin. Went to the dermatologist and they basically said that it could possibly be genetically induced hair loss and no signs of any inflammation. Dad's side has no bald people, uncles on my mom's side have balding/thinning patterns but all still have hair in their 50s+.
Not sure if this is something to be concerned about since I honestly have never seen my crown for many years and have no comparison (had long hair for awhile). The hairline is pretty much the same for the past 2 years
but overall my hair is definitely thinner compared to three+ years ago. However, it's still plenty thick.
I guess my question is should I be concerned and just start finasteride ASAP, or should I just wait it out to see if things get worse first? The dermatologist recommended Rogaine before finasteride because of possible side effects but I have cats so I'd rather not put them at risk.
