24 Years Old, Just Started Finestaride

So the last year I've gone from having no noticeable hair loss to having my hairline go back quite a bit as well as my temples receding very rapidly. I have always had thick hair and never thought i would experience any kind of loss for a while...

After experiencing thinning as well i couldn't wait any longer, i went to a few doctors who told me to not worry about it, I got minoxidil from one doctor but because of how aggressively I felt my temples especially were receding and also i experienced thinning after starting minoxidil

I went to a private dermatologist and got a prescription for finasteride, he told me i caught in the early stages

I just want to know, all i want is for my hair to stop receding so fast until I'm 30+ do you think there is a chance of regrowth considering how (relatively) early i got started?


I want to add that i know my hairloss is not that bad, and that my naturally thick hair makes it not that noticable as seen in the picture where i dont pull my hair back, i just wanted to be proactive about it as i know there is no way to revive dead hair follicles

You can revive dead follicles. You just need to wait though, everybody responds differently to medications. You might maintain or even regrow. Time will show.
