Hey everyone I’m new to this site. I recently looked at my hairline while doing my hair and noticed these whisp-like hairs along the wedge of my hairline specifically I’m the front; not really on the temples though I guess I didn’t see them or they are not there.

I’m concerned that my hair is receding but I can’t tell if it’s my mature hairline or male pattern baldness.

My mother’s father was bald but I don’t know when he went bald. My dads father is bald and my dad has female pattern baldness. My dads moms family all have a strong head of hair. The picture I attached is what I have as I write this post.

Please be nice and sensitive to my concern when commenting.

Hello. Sorry but this looks like Male Pattern Baldness to me. I'd advise you to jump on the big three if you want to fight against it.

What is the big three?

An anti-androgen, such as Propecia or Dutasteride
Growth stimulant such as Rogaine/Minoxidil. 5% is optimal.
An anti-inflammatory such as Nizoral or any other shampoo with Ketoconazole 2%.

Check out the Men's Solution Tab on this website for more information.
You can also read other forum posts regarding these treatments.

Hope this helps,

Sorry brother but that's beyond a mature hairline and the thinning is visible. Like alpha said research the big 3 and see if the benefits outweigh the small risks. If you don't begin treatment the balding will likely keep progressing.
