I'm 23 and I'm not sure as to whether I'm balding. I grew my hair out during covid and I'm finding it hard to tell whether my hairline has changed (as I previously paid little attention to it). More hair has been falling out than usual, but I know that this is normal with longer hair. My hairline also looks thinner after showering.
I've been wearing headphones for half my life and I feel like the top of my head has suffered as a result, but I'm not sure (as I've been told that hair loss can only be a result of genetics). I know that typical balding patterns involve more recession in the front, but I've heard Joe Tillman say that it's possible for the crown to exclusively bald.
I've done a lot of research on treatments and ways to slow everything down (propecia), but I'm not sure as to whether I should be as anxious as I am. For all I know, I'm not balding or it's too early to tell, so I was wondering if I could have some opinions on this.
