23 years old - Hairline Receding?

Hi,

I think my hairline has started to recede. I know that this may stop again but just want to now if this is a
Norwood 2 and any other comments!

LOL Norwood 2 more like a Norwood .5. Looks fine to me just keep an eye on it. A little recession makes the face look better.

Thanks. The hair at the temples feels a bit "softer" than the hair in the middle of the forehead. Is this normal? It is also a bit lighter colored but I looked at childhood pictures and I have always had a tendency to have blondish temple hair. So would you say this will probably stay fine for many years or that I will start to seriously recess before I'm thirty, say?
Maybe a dermatologist visit is the only thing that can clear this up.

Oh and here's the top of my head. Also seem to be losing hair there.

Looks to be some loss on the crown. You should really go to a hair specialist, and they will give you an honest answer. If you are losing hair on your crown, finasteride or minoxidil will fix it.

Ok I will! Here's one last addition, right after showering. My hair is very straight I think. But yeah does look like some loss on the crown.

This doesn't look like hair loss at all.

Have you tried to compare with photos when you were younger like 10+ year old?

Gosh very hard to say. Your best bet is just spend the money and see a hair specialist.

possibly NW1.5 if his frontal hairline has receded too. don't know if it's been always like that.

OP I'm quite sure you're not thinning on crown. That's your natural vertex I would say. Also, when you shoot with a flash it shows even more scalp than normally because the light reflects back from the scalp.

OP I'm quite sure you're not thinning on crown. That's your natural vertex I would say. Also, when you shoot with a flash it shows even more scalp than normally because the light reflects back from the scalp.

so you are just as clueless as me, if you are stating you need a picture of him when he was younger. comparing it directly with the norwood scale, he is a nw1 at most. Even the on the Norwood scale, the temples recess more.

Looks like a perfectly normal full head of hair to me. I would NOT even consider talking anything for hair loss if I were you. It would be a no win situation. You're not losing hair so there's nothing it could help with, and you might suffer potentially bad side effects. Either way stay away from hair loss products. Come back and see us in a few years if there's a change.

Thanks guys! I think my new haircut just emphasised my hairline more than before so I freaked out a bit. I'll keep an eye on it!
