Over the last 2 years this has been getting worse and now there is a clear spot at the back of my head where the hair has left.

I've got a appointment with a derm this week but don't know what the options are. No one has lost their hair this early in the family, but everyone has hair loss (horseshoe).

I've been reading through but I'm guessing there are not a lot of options other than drugs at this point. All I really want is to just slow this down if possible.

I have high testosterone, as I could drive my gf nuts how often we would be shagging. So that could be part of the reason, along with diet however that is pretty steady. Not too unhealthy - basically the standard indian diet.

scalp is itchy at times and also sore which I hope to have checked out this week and find out what thats about. I use Nizoral once a week via my Doctor due to itchyness that comes and goes.

Couple pics below incase that sheds any light or allows for suggestions.

Well i reckon you should get on Proscar... perhaps the Minoxidil aswell. How much you will grow back, who knows, but you'll never know if you dont give it a good go.

The time is now...

Your balding pattern is in the scalp area where minoxidil has been proven to do the most good. You're a candidate for the classic Big 3, minoxidil, Propecia, and Nizoral.

Before starting a treatment, consider the impact on your lifestyle. Don't start something you can't finish.
